Year 4 Romans Trip

Year 4 visited Chester to have a Roman Soldier experience day as part of their history topic. They had the opportunity to look round Grosvenor Museum and learn about Roman life in Chester, as well as taking part in a workshop where they could experience being archeologists, Roman chefs, Roman builders and mosaic pattern makers, as well as many other activities. Conrad even got to dress up as a Roman soldier, though he said the armour was very heavy!

In the afternoon the children marched through Chester to the ampitheatre where they took part in Roman army formations and pretended to be a real Roman soldier. It was great fun, both for the children and the staff!
