The documents that we have available are:

- This document shows the sequence of learning throughout each topic, in Science and each of our foundation subjects. - Knowledge Organisers
- This document is for our children, it contains prior knowledge from previous learning, key vocabulary for each topic, in Science and each of our foundation subjects as well as the key knowledge that will be taught throughout the topic. - Progression of Knowledge and Skills
- This document shows how learning progresses in each subject from Foundation Stage right through to Year 6. - Knowledge Keys
- This document is used half way through each topic, in Science and each of our foundation subjects and is there to help the children know more and remember more. - Assessment Key
- This document is used with the children at the end of each topic of work and is there to help the children know more and remember more as well as forming part of our teacher assessment.
SEND In Our Curriculum
We strive to ensure that all children have access to a broad and balanced curriculum alongside quality first teaching. For those children with SEND adaptations are made where necessary to the teaching of the foundation subjects so that the learning in these subjects is accessible to all so that all children can achieve their full potential and ‘Let Their Light Shine’. Some of these adaptations include:
- Changes to the way that work is recorded so that where necessary written recording is kept to a minimum
- The pre-teaching of subject specific vocabulary prior to the lesson to support understanding of key concepts
- The use of pictures, symbols and word banks to aid learning
- Differentiation and adaptation of learning tasks in response to recommendations from outside agencies
Many of our children thrive in these wider curriculum subjects and show true talent and enjoyment. We aim to nurture this talent and facilitate growth.
